Boys being boys

The "Karate Kid" was a topper I made for a boy's birthday cake. He was made with sugarpaste and fondant.

The handsome fellow on the drums is our good friend George. We had the priviledge of making this Groom's cake for his wedding. The cake is a replica of his snare drum. It was vanilla cake with key lime filling. The topper was made out of rice krispies treats, sugarpaste, and fondant.

MacKenzie Childs-inspired cake

This cake was made for a MacKenzie Childs collector: www.mackenzie-childs.com

It was inspired by an ottoman that is part of her collection. The flowers on top were hand painted.

Yee-Haw, Ride'em Cowboy

They wanted the cowboy and his horse to have the same set of chompers; I think they're a perfect match. The bottom tier was a classic rum cake with buttercream filling. The top tier was vanilla bean cake with dulce de leche filling.

Play Ball!

Sports themed cake pops. These were fun to make. My favorite were the tennis balls. I used sugar crystals to give it the "fuzzy" appearance of the real thing.
